about ·
Born in Yokohama, Japan, Rei moved to Northern California at age 10 with her family.
As a child, she was always the entertainer—breaking into dances, belting out songs, and putting on spontaneous shows for classmates and family like it was her own living room stage.
With a natural pull toward the performing arts, Rei spent much of her childhood immersed in ballet, while also exploring her voice and presence through drama and choir classes.
Driven by a curiosity about the human mind, she studied Psychology at UCLA, where she stepped into her first formal theatre classes.
After six years of balancing a career in tech with her growing passion for acting, she made the bold decision to leave her job and fully commit to her path as a performer.
She has continued to hone her craft through training with HB Studio, The Barrow Group, and Upright Citizens Brigade, while also expanding her range through dance and stage combat classes.
Rei can most recently be seen in the short film I Hate Birthdays!, which received multiple awards, including Best Short Film at the New York Short Film Festival and Best Ensemble Cast at the Independent Shorts Awards.
